What is the difference between an Approval Asset and a Reference File?

Approval Asset(s)

  • An Approval Asset is a file that is uploaded within a Project and routed for Review/Approval by various team members.

  • Approval Assets are considered "Under Review" when added to a Project.

Examples of an Approval Asset(s) are:

  • full packaging carton layout

  • front, back, or neck packaging label

  • corrugate


Reference Files

  • Reference Files are supporting files that can be viewed next to the Approval Asset(s) to verify that their content is correct.

Examples of Reference File(s) are:

  • regulatory requirements

  • project briefing

  • product shot

  • marketing requirements
