You can only move assets to the Trash, permanently Delete or Restore from trash, if you added the assets if the assets were shared with you as a manager of a collection, or if your role is anything other than View Only or View and Download for assets in the Workspace Assets collection.
Note: If you pick an asset from All Assets or My Assets that belonged in any collection and move it to the trash and/or permanently delete it, it will no longer be present in those collections.
Move to the Trash and Permanently Delete Assets
Why would you want to or need to delete assets?
To ensure that a stale asset is not accidentally used for an upcoming project.
You may have uploaded the wrong asset and do not want it to be part of your assets.
Step 1: On the Assets page of your workspace, select the assets that you want to remove.
Note: When determining which asset to remove, be sure to not impact other workspace team members. For example, the Workspace Assets is a collection of assets that are shared with everyone in your workspace so you may not want to delete any assets from there.
The best practice is to confirm that you are deleting from your specific collections or is not an asset that was shared with another member.
Step 2: Click on the More Actions(...) menu that is adjacent to the number of assets or selected at the top of the Assets.
Step 3: From the More Actions(...) menu, click on Move to Trash. You will see the progress in the dialog window in the lower-left corner.
Step 4: To view your assets, click on the Trash button in the lower-left corner of the Assets window.
Step 5: To permanently delete your assets from the trash, select all assets that you want to delete.
Step 6: Click on the trash icon located in the upper right corner.
Step 7: Click Delete on the confirmation window. The page will refresh and the assets will be permanently deleted.
After deletion, you cannot retrieve the assets after performing this action.
Restore an Asset
Why would you want to or need to delete assets?
You may have changed your mind and still want to use the asset.
You accidentally deleted the incorrect asset.
Note: Restoring an asset will restore it to all of the asset's collections as well.
Step 1: From the trash page, select the asset that you want to restore.
Step 2: Click on the restore icon, located in the upper-right corner next to the trash icon. You will see the progress in the dialog window in the lower-left corner.
The page will refresh and the assets will be restored to your assets.
Once the restore is completed, the best practice is to look and make certain that the asset is in the library. It should have also been restored in all of its previous collections.
