Before you can compare files, the asset must have more than one version and you must be invited to participate in a project.

Step 1: From the Home page, find your review task and click to open the Task Performer page. Alternately, navigate to a project that you’ve been invited to and open it.

Step 2: Click the main Review button to open the Mox Review tool or when there are many assets if you want to open a specific asset first, hover over its row and click the Review button.

Step 3: When you are viewing an asset with more than one version, you will be viewing the latest version. Above the asset that you are viewing, you will see the filename and its version number in a drop-down. To view other versions in Single Page View, click on the drop-down.

Step 4: If you want to compare versions of your asset in the View section, click the Compare View button.

  1. When you have more than two versions of an asset, you can select what versions of the asset that you want to compare by selecting the version in the filename drop-downs beneath the review tools.

  1. The radio button adjacent to the filename allows you to toggle an Active Asset version to see its annotations and approvals.

  1. The Transparency Slider when moved towards a selected file allows you to view it. You can view differences in bright green when the slider is in the green section. When the slider is outside the green section, you can view one asset overlaid on top of the other with transparency applied.

Step 5: In the Compare View type drop-down immediately below the Set Approval buttons, select from the following:

  1. Difference Overlay to see changes highlighted in bright green.

  1. Difference Only to see changes highlighted in bright green and common areas are white i.e., not shown.

  1. Relative Difference Only to see changes highlighted in shades of green. The greater the difference, the brighter the green. The common areas are white i.e., not shown.

  1. Toggle to see both files in an alternating pattern. You can choose the Pause/Play button to start and stop the toggle.

  1. Side by Side to look at two versions of the asset at the same time. Click on the Lock button on the lower right to unlock the views pan and zoom separately.

Step 6: (Optional) When you are viewing versions of varying size or otherwise, you might need to select Align to be able to see things more clearly. There is the ability to choose from Auto Alignment, Manual Alignment and Reset.

Step 7: When you are done using Compare View, click the Single Page View button.
