Before you can create a sub-project within a project, you must have access to your Mox workspace and have a role other than View and Download or View Only. The benefits of having sub-projects are that you can have unique reference files and assets with specific attributes such as flavor name, UPC and more. Meanwhile, the main Project level covers the common parts of the overall project at hand.

Step 1: On the Home page of your workspace, click on one of your existing projects shown in My Projects. This will open your selected project. If you click + Create Project to create a new project, see “Creating a Project without a Template” or “Create a Project from Template” if you need help.

Step 2: When your project opens to the OVERVIEW tab, click + Create Sub-Project.

Step 3: A window will appear to create the new sub-project. Enter a name for your sub-project.

Step 4: If the project owner will be someone other than you, select a new Assignee from the drop-down.

Step 5: (Optional) The Due Date and Notes can be added now or updated at any time.

Step 6: Choose a Project Template from the drop-down or retain the blank sub-project.

Step 7: Click Create. Your new sub-project is added to the project under the Sub-Projects section.

Step 8: Click on the new sub-project to add attributes (see Steps 3 & 4 of “Adding Attributes to an Existing Project” if you need help) and create tasks.

NOTE: If you find that you want to reuse this project that contains sub-projects, click menu and select Save Project as Template.
