Adding Attributes to a new Blank Project

Before you can add attributes to your project, you must have access to your Mox workspace and have a role other than View and Download or View Only. If you’re accustomed with creating projects, go to the front of the class and skip to Step 7.

Step 1: On the Home page or Projects page of your workspace, click + Create Project.

Step 2: A window will appear to create a new project. Enter a name for your project.

Step 3: If the project owner will be someone other than you, select a new Assignee from the drop-down.

Step 4: (Optional) Click in the Due Date field to add a date. If your schedule changes, you can update it later.

Step 5: (Optional) Click in the Notes section to add anything you want to mention about your project to afford information.

Step 6: Keep the default ‘Blank Project’ for the Project Template.

Step 7: (Optional) In the Project Attributes section, click + Add Attribute to select existing attributes. If you know the values for the attribute, set them now or this can be done later. Repeat this step with any other existing attributes needed for your project.

Step 8: (Optional) If you need to add an attribute that doesn’t exist, select + Create Attribute. Type the name of the new attribute, and from the drop-down, select the attribute type. Click the Checkmark when you are done. Now, you can add attribute values for the new attribute. Repeat this step until you have any attributes required for your project.

Step 9: Click Create. A new window opens showing an overview of your new project.

NOTE: These attributes and the values that you set will be associated with this project’s assets. When you create your next project, the same attribute filters will be shown without values. You can set values before or after you create the project. If the attributes that you use change frequently, you can save your project as a template to keep any set of attributes for reuse to present them quickly at the time of creating your project.
